Who can do the most can do the least! While IVEA patented a gravity closure system during a construction project on the large valves of an EDF power plant in Haute-Garonne, it is able to adapt it for more modest equipment. Like the 2nd turbine of a hydroelectric power plant in San Leonardo in Passiria, in the Italian Tyrol...

Taking its source in Alto Adige, the torrent of the Passirio flows into the Adige at Merano, after having crossed the valley of the Passirio and the town of San Leonardo in Passiria. It is here that IVEA designed and produced a new, simple and economical version of its gravity closure patent after having developed it in France at the CAMON EDF power plant (31)IVEA exported it to Italy for a hydroelectric power plant implemented by Enerpass Konsortial GMBH

IVEA's service focused on a valve made by Guflermetallsupplying a 2nd turbine of the hydroelectric power plant with additional dynamic residual water. Here again, the device - motorized jacks coupled, reversible servomotor, braking module - allows, in the event of a power failure, the gravitational lowering of the valve, at an adjustable speed thanks to a variator. In addition, IVEA completed its service with on-site installation and training of the operator's teams.

Thus, faced with the obligation to respond to a safety problem without electrical energy, IVEA knows how to apply its patented solution using a basic principle: gravity closure to equipment of all types and sizes. A new illustration of its expertise validated by its numerous references, from works on waterways to the most ingenious, efficient and varied devices for many sectors of activity...
