September 2017. A delegation from La Roche-sur-Yon (85) flies to Quebec with 10 Vendée companies - including IVEA - to discover business opportunities across the Atlantic. The appointments follow one another, including a particularly interesting one with MECAN-HYDRO...

Quebec company based in Granby, MECAN HYDRO specializes in mechanical equipment for all types of dams and water control structures. Canadian society discovers with great interest our electric jacks and our references for works and equipment similar to those related to his specialty... and promises to consult IVEA.

Promise kept! In 2018, MECAN-HYDRO wins the public contract to replace the Nassau guard house (which accuses its 70 years of loyal service) and entrusts the motorization part to IVEA! The project description by the owner Parks Canada "The construction site consists of the installation of protective valves in the canal just above Nassau Mills Road. And the creation of a bern in the ground closely esaking the outline of this path. Open in spring, summer and fall, the door will be closed in winter. In the event of a major flood, it will redirect water to the Otanabee River, protecting homes, businesses and critical infrastructure adjacent to the canal. After the construction work, the area will once again become a green space for the public. Trees and shrubs will be planted, and a trail will be developed for walking and cycling."
