The department's largest fish pass!

As a committed player in the preservation of aquatic ecosystems, IVEA took part in the construction of the new Fercé-sur-Sarthe fish pass.
This project, essential to restoring ecological continuity on the Sarthe, enables the free movement of biological species, by facilitating access to areas essential to their reproduction, growth, feeding or shelter.

IVEA contributed to this project by supplying and installing the new rack and pinion jacks for the dam's two gates, manufactured in its Vendée workshops.

Some features of rack jacks :

• Configuration: 2 jacks coupled by pertuis
• Capacity: 20 tonnes push/pull
• Powered by hydraulic motor and mobile power unit
• Stroke: 3000 mm
